Applications:
1. Rigid Polyurethane Foam (Insulation)
These polyols are widely used in rigid PU foams for:
Building insulation panels (walls, roofs, cold storage)
Continuous sandwich panels (PIR/PUR systems)
Spray foam insulation
They enhance flame resistance (often meeting standards like UL-94, DIN 4102 B1) and reduce smoke generation.
2. Polyisocyanurate (PIR) Foam Systems
In PIR formulations, flame-retardant polyester polyols:
Improve char formation during combustion
Increase thermal stability
Help meet stringent fire classifications (e.g., EN 13501-1)
Common in:
Insulated metal panels
Roofing boards
Industrial insulation
3. Refrigeration & Cold Chain Insulation
Used in:
Refrigerators and freezers
Cold storage warehouses
Reefer containers
They provide:
Low thermal conductivity
Improved fire safety in enclosed environments
4. Pipe Insulation Systems
Applied in:
District heating pipes
LNG/LPG pipelines
Industrial piping insulation
Benefits include:
Flame resistance
Dimensional stability at varying temperatures
5. Spray Foam (SPF) Applications
In construction and industrial spray foams:
Enhances fire performance of open/closed-cell foams
Supports compliance with fire codes for on-site applications
6. Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers (CASE)
Though less common than in foams, they are used in:
Flame-retardant coatings
Industrial adhesives
Sealants requiring fire resistance
7. Transportation Industry
Used in:
Automotive interior foams
Rail and marine insulation materials
To meet fire, smoke, and toxicity (FST) standards.
Packaging & Storage:
220kg/drum; 1200kgs/IBC Drum
Store in cool, dry and ventilated place, period of validity is one year.
