TCPP

TCPP is a widely used halogenated phosphate ester flame retardant. Its common chemical name is Tris(1-chloro-2-propyl) phosphate, also known as Tris(chloropropyl) phosphate.
TCPP (Tris(1-chloro-2-propyl) phosphate, CAS 13674-84-5) is a chlorinated organophosphate flame retardant and reactive plasticizer widely used in rigid and flexible polyurethane foam, polyester resin, and epoxy casting compound formulations. TCPP provides flame retardancy through both gas-phase (phosphorus radical trapping) and condensed-phase (char formation) mechanisms. The chlorine contributes to gas-phase flame inhibition by releasing HCl during combustion, while the phosphorus ester linkages catalyze char formation in the condensed phase.
