Product Overview


Polyester Polyol For Flexible Polyurethane Foam is a versatile polyol designed for elastomeric foam applications, offering balanced softness and durability. It features linear to slightly branched structures with hydroxyl numbers (OHN) of 50–150 mg KOH/g and viscosity ranges of 1,000–5,000 cps at 25°C, compatible with TDI and MDI-based formulations. Key properties include tensile strength ≥3.0 MPa, elongation at break ≥300%, and Shore A hardness 20–60 . This polyol is compliant with REACH Annex XVII and contains ≥40% bio-based content in select grades .


Features


Mechanical Performance

Exhibits high tear resistance (≥10 N/mm) and compression set ≤15% after 22 hours at 70°C . Supports density ranges of 20–80 kg/m³ for comfort and load-bearing applications.


Chemical Resistance

Resists mineral oils (ASTM D471) and household chemicals (pH 2–12) with weight change ≤5% after 7 days . Suitable for automotive interiors and industrial gaskets.


Processing Flexibility

Available in low-viscosity grades (1,000–2,000 cps) for high-solid-content formulations and high-functionality grades (OHN 120–150 mg KOH/g) for crosslinked foams. Supports fast-cure (≤10 minutes) and slow-cure (≥30 minutes) cycles .


Environmental Sustainability

Compliant with EU Ecolabel and UL GREENGUARD Gold for low VOC emissions (≤5 ppm) . Free from brominated flame retardants and heavy metals.


Applications


Furniture and Bedding

Mattresses: Provides pressure distribution ≤3.0 kPa and ILD (Indentation Load Deflection) 25–65 N for ergonomic support .

Cushions: Resists UV aging (ASTM G154) with color change ΔE ≤3 after 1,000 hours .


Automotive Interiors

Seat Cushions: Offers dynamic fatigue resistance ≥10⁶ cycles and odor emissions ≤3.0 VDA 270 .

Door Trims: Bonds to PP, ABS, and textiles with peel strength ≥3.5 N/cm .


Industrial and Packaging

Shock Absorbers: Delivers energy absorption ≥50 J/cm³ for electronic component packaging .

Gaskets: Provides sealing pressure ≥0.5 MPa for refrigeration systems, resisting -40°C embrittlement .


Storage


Container: Store in sealed HDPE drums to prevent moisture ingress.

Conditions: Maintain temperatures at 15–30°C and humidity ≤60%, away from amine catalysts.

Handling: Avoid prolonged exposure to strong acids and alkalis to prevent hydrolysis.
