XF-3152
Product Introduction:
XF-3152 is an aromatic polyester polyol — a type of polyester with multiple hydroxyl (–OH) groups that reacts with isocyanates to form polyurethanes. It is based on diethylene glycol and phthalic anhydride chemistry.
Hydroxyl value: ~315 mg KOH/g (high functionality for good crosslinking)
Viscosity: ~2,700–2,800 cP at 25 °C (relatively low for easy mixing)
Specific gravity: ~1.24 at 25 °C
Liquid at room temperature
Good thermal stability and hydrolysis resistance
Promotes adhesion to metals and plastics
Polyester polyols like XF-3152 have multiple reactive –OH groups. When combined with polyisocyanates (e.g., MDI or TDI), they form polyurethane networks (rigid or flexible foams, elastomers, coatings), with properties (rigidity, thermal and chemical resistance) tuned by the polyol’s structure.
Polyurethane & CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers):
Rigid foams — insulation boardstocks, spray foams, bunstock insulation.
Flexible foams & packaging foams (depending on formulation).
Coatings — urethane coatings with abrasion/solvent resistance.
Adhesives & elastomers.
Low viscosity — easier to process and blend with other components.
High aromatic content — can enhance mechanical performance and solvent resistance.
Primary hydroxyl groups — react readily with isocyanates for good cure.
